First published in 1984, Wombat Stew by Marcia K. Vaughan has delighted generations of children with its playful rhyming text and engaging storyline. Illustrated by Pamela Lofts, the book follows a cunning dingo who tries to cook up a delicious wombat stew, only to be outwitted by the clever bush animals who each add their own special "ingredient" to the pot.

This beautifully handcrafted finger puppet set features eight iconic Australian bush animals:

These finger puppets are beautifully made and of high quality (something that is of great importance to me). They made a beautiful display with the mat and book in my centre foyer for book week, with many educators borrowing it to use in there room also.
